2nd Shift Material Handler

Material Handler Shift: Monday- Thursday 4:30pm- 2:30am (4x10s schedule) Location: Mesa, AZ (by the Mesa Gateway Airport) Pay: $20-23/hr + 10% shift differential Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for the second shift who will be responsible for transporting raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout a manufacturing facility. You will play a crucial role in supporting production lines with the necessary materials to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities + Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas, including the production floor, warehouse, and shipping areas. + Supply production lines with materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules and ensure uninterrupted production. + Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor. + Properly label and store materials in assigned locations, optimizing space and ensuring easy accessibility. + Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately. + Participate in efforts to improve material handling processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Essential Skills + 1-2 years of experience in material handling + Proficiency in using RF scanners to track materials in inventory. + Ability to document and track storage locations and inventory levels. + Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks. + High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with ERP systems, such as EPICOR. + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. + Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities. + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. + Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus. Work Environment You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifts Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 1:30am. This position requires physical activity, including lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing portable ladders. Personal Protection Equipment is required, and excellent manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
