Each year, for three weeks in the late summer, the US Open is the focus of the sports & entertainment universe. Passionate fans from around the world come to NYC to witness the toughest tennis on the game’s biggest stage. With more than 900,000 on-site visitors, over 224 million television viewers worldwide and over 45 million online visitors globally in 2023, why not come and enjoy the thrill and excitement of working with our team?Start Date: July 15, 2026End Date: September 13, 2026Must be available 5 days a week in July and August,Must be available 7 days a week during the US Open (August 23rd - September 13th)The RoleTo provide customer service and enhance the USTA's image by following customer service policies and proceduresRespond to general customer inquiries, invoice questions, and customer complaints by phone, email and chat in a prompt, efficient, and professional mannerRespond to inquiries by researching and resolving problems related to transactions handled by the Ticket OfficeProvide all guests with ticket access info, plan information, and mobile deliverySkillfully interact with fans of the US Open and USTA Staff to provide a positive experienceAssist Ticket Staff with various projects. Projects may include:tracking and reporting of ticket sales and/or availabilityshipping through FedEx shipping systemprice checkingOther duties as assignedWho You AreAvailable to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament (3 weeks from August 19through September 8), including nights, and weekends and available to work 12+ hour shiftsAbility to learn quickly and work efficiently and computer proficient to access/updatecustomer recordsWorking knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointMaintain a positive, outgoing demeanor, adhering to the core expectations of our team at alltimes and possess ability to work as part of a team and get along with coworkersAbility to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment and during stressfulsituationsArrive for shift on time, neatly groomed, and in a clean, pressed, well-maintained uniformWilling and comfortable working part of daily shift outdoors in various weather conditions inlate August/early SeptemberPersonable and proactive in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level ofcustomer serviceExcellent communication skills with thorough understanding of written and spoken EnglishPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a ticket office for major sporting event, team or venuePrevious experience working in hospitality, sales or in a call centerBilingual is a plus, but not necessaryKnowledge of ZenDesk, Ticketmaster Archtics (or similar ticketing system)Salary: $19 per hour; overtime eligible$35 daily meal allowance during the US Open tournament (via credential)
