Description We are looking for a hands-on Controller to join our client in West Hollywood, California. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and drive strategic initiatives to ensure the company's financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization specializing in real estate and property management for a portfolio of 1500+ multifamily units. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. u2022 Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining timely and efficient workflows. u2022 Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. u2022 Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Ensure compliance with tax filings and financial regulations, supporting audits as necessary. u2022 Collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategy and process improvements. u2022 Implement and maintain property accounting systems to streamline operations. u2022 Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous growth. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and performance improvements. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within the real estate or property management industries. u2022 Strong expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. u2022 Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. u2022 Solid understanding of compliance requirements related to tax filings and audits. u2022 Advanced skills in financial software tools and data analysis. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy. u2022 Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
