Construction and Safety Manager

Our client, a leading life sciences and biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Construction & Safety Manager to join their team. As a Construction & Safety Manager, you will be part of the Facilities/Engineering Department supporting Capital Projects and Site Construction Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Construction & Safety Manager (8-month contract) Location: San Jose, CA (100% on-site) Pay Range: $85u2013$95/hr Whatu2019s the Job? + Oversee construction sites, general contractors, and crews to ensure safety, quality, and project compliance. + Partner with safety and quality managers to address incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions. + Coordinate day-to-day construction activities and manage contractor schedules and efficiency. + Ensure adherence to project specifications and manage change orders in coordination with project management. + Conduct quality inspections and support contractor onboarding and permitting processes. Whatu2019s Needed? + 8u201310 years of construction management experience, including commercial building and clean room construction (CA experience required). + OSHA 30 certification, First Aid & CPR certifications, and proficiency with MS Office. + Ability to manage safety programs, risk assessments, and incident reporting. + Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and conflict-resolution skills. + Bacheloru2019s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
