Job Title: Survey CAD Technician Job Description We are seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join a dynamic engineering and surveying firm catering to both public and private clients across the Midwest. The successful candidate will leverage AutoCAD software to support surveyors by engaging in a variety of design and drafting activities, including construction layouts, detailed topographic drawings, and other survey-related sketches and diagrams. Responsibilities + Produce drawings using computer-assisted design and drafting equipment and software. + Review and analyze sketches, notes, and verbal information to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments. + Process field crew survey data. + Conduct trips to the field to clarify or verify survey data or assist field staff as necessary. + Prepare base survey mapping. + Create stakeout data for construction layout. + Revise and modify drawings as necessary. + Maintain project point database files. + Plot, organize, and assemble project-related documents. + Develop, understand, and follow project budgets and schedules. + Perform duties as assigned by the Project Manager. Essential Skills + 5+ years of survey CAD experience in pipeline, topographic, boundary, construction layout, and as-built surveys. + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Ability to contribute to all phases of a project from start to as-builts. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in survey CAD work for energy or pipeline-related clients. + Experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads. + Experience with Trimble Business Center. + Ability to operate field equipment and perform field surveys. Work Environment The role is based fully in-office with some flexibility for unforeseen circumstances. Occasional site visits may be required. The Cincinnati office comprises five team members, including two Project Managers, a field manager, and two field surveyors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
