Data Center Computer Hardware Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center Hardware Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Hardware Technician, you will be part of the technical support department supporting the IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Center Hardware Technician Location: Gainesville, VA Pay Range: $28.00 per hour What's the Job? + Maintain the hardware infrastructure of the latest cloud computing server technologies. + Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components. + Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols. + Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling. + Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds. What's Needed? + Knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. + IT troubleshooting and networking experience. + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. + Data center experience preferred. + Previous experience with computer repair roles helpful + Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Server+ preferred.
