Phlebotomist

Actively Interviewing for Phlebotomist to join top diagnostic client in Buford, GA Job Description As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and maintaining accurate records. You will also update patient information and ensure the proper collection and storage of specimens according to established protocols. Your role includes explaining the venipuncture process to patients in a clear and courteous manner, using straight and butterfly needles, and matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Responsibilities + Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately. + Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. + Explain the process of venipuncture and specimen collection clearly to patients. + Ensure specimens are packaged correctly for transport and stored at the required temperature. + Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings. + Read laboratory results and answer inquiries over the phone. + Understand and follow physicians' orders accurately. + Maintain specimen integrity by following protocol-specific procedures. Essential Skills + 3+ years of recent phlebotomy experience. + High School Diploma or GED. + Proficiency in blood draw and venipuncture techniques. + Strong customer service skills. + Experience processing specimens and handling 30+ patient draws per day. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Fluency in Korean, Mandarin, or Vietnamese is a plus. Work Environment You will work at a leading clinical laboratory with several locations, operating from Monday to Friday, 7:30-4:30pm. This role involves working closely with seven providers and requires someone who can start as soon as possible. Fluency in Korean, Mandarin, or Vietnamese is beneficial due to the diverse clientele. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buford, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
