Corporate Accountant

Corporate Accountant Edge Sports Global Position Summary Edge Sports Global is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant to support the companyu2019s accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will be responsible for assisting with the monthly close process within NetSuite, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations across the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple entities, departments, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities u2022 Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process within NetSuite u2022 Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner u2022 Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts u2022 Support the review and maintenance of financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness u2022 Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany accounting activities as needed u2022 Review transactions for proper coding and classification u2022 Help maintain supporting schedules and documentation for month-end close u2022 Assist in preparing internal financial reports and supporting management reporting needs u2022 Work with department leaders to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies u2022 Support external accountants, auditors, and finance leadership with requested documentation u2022 Help ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting procedures u2022 Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred u2022 2+ years of accounting experience preferred u2022 Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred u2022 Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close procedures u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines u2022 Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments u2022 Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments is a plus Preferred Skills u2022 Knowledge of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and account reconciliations u2022 Ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions u2022 Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team u2022 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Reporting Structure This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the finance and operations teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting Compensation Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
