summary:Job Title: Warehouse PIT Operator I Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Location: Wyandotte, MI Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour Job Summary The Warehouse PIT Operator I is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment to safely and efficiently move materials throughout the warehouse. This role supports inbound and outbound operations while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Essential Job Functions Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, and move materials Use handheld scanning devices to track inventory with a high degree of accuracy Load and unload trailers as required Perform inbound receiving and staging processes Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 7S standards Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures Demonstrate commitment to process improvement and operational excellence Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks (PIT) Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when necessary Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally Ability to lift and carry items of varying shapes, sizes, and weights Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, or equipment Ability to work in hot and/or cold warehouse environments Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Additional Information This position supports skills-based hiring and emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
