Second Shift Weekend Friday - Sunday 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. JOB SUMMARY SUMMARYThe Test Engineer II supports manufacturing test operations within assigned workcells, focusing on execution, sustainment, and incremental improvement of electrical and functional test processes for large-form assemblies (LFA) and system-level products. This role performs hands-on test engineering activities involving high-voltage electrical systems (480VAC / 120VAC), low-voltage controls (24VDC), Hipot testing, pressure and leak testing, and basic test automation. The Test Engineer II works under guidance from senior engineers and Test Engineering leadership to ensure test processes meet Jabil quality, safety, and customer requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIESTeam Support & Development:u00b7 Support senior Test Engineers in executing test engineering deliverables.u00b7 Assist in training Manufacturing Test Operators (L1u2013L3) on test procedures and equipment use.u00b7 Participate in development and maintenance of test documentation and standard work.u00b7 Seek feedback and coaching to build technical and professional capability.Performance & Communication:u00b7 Support achievement of test-related KPIs such as safety, FPY, yield, and test uptime. u00b7 Communicate test issues, risks, and status to Test Engineering III/IV and Test Leads. u00b7 Participate in cross-functional meetings related to test readiness, quality, and NPI. u00b7 Document test results and engineering changes clearly and accurately. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIESu00b7 Lead the workcell team (assigned to customer) as a Lead Project Engineer. u00b7 Serve as Lead Test Engineer / Project Engineer for assigned customer workcells and programs. u00b7 Own and communicate system-level test strategies to customer engineering teams. u00b7 Design, develop, and sustain test processes covering: + 480VAC and 120VAC electrical power and functional testing + 24VDC control systems and interlock validation + Hipot / dielectric withstand testing + Pressure testing, leak detection, pre-air, and vacuum testing + Safety interlocks, emergency stop validation, and compliance checks u00b7 Execute test process changes under direction of senior Test Engineers. u00b7 Help define and validate test methods for large-form assemblies and safety-critical systems. u00b7 Assist with troubleshooting test failures and isolating issues related to product, processes, or equipment u00b7 Support development and maintenance of basic test scripts or automation tools. u00b7 Verify test equipment calibration status and escalate issues as required. u00b7 Support test station setup, validation, and release for production. u00b7 Assist with NPI activities, including test readiness, dry runs, and initial production support. u00b7 Ensure compliance with electrical safety, pressure safety, EHS, and Jabil standards. u00b7 Support failure analysis, data collection, and corrective action implementation. u00b7 Follow and enforce standard work and safety requirements during test execution.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in manufacturing test engineering or a related technical role. Working knowledge of high-voltage systems, Hipot testing, pressure/leak testing, and basic test automation. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications.
