Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Right of Way Practice Leader with 10+ years of experience to join one of our Northern, Virginia offices!Manage, lead, and expand practice teams for ROW in and around VirginiaAssist in negotiations and acquisition of property and easements needed for both public and private projectsLeadership responsibilities include:Operating with integrity and sound business principalsProviding vision, business planning and strategyEstablishing goalsBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsHaving open communication with your partners and teamGrowing and leading a ROW practiceOur Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business. With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership10+ years of experience in the right of way spaceHas an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for the ROW teamStrong written and oral communication skills with the ability to write and communicate findings clearlyDemonstrated experience in oral presentations and public speakingAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Previous experience with the Department of Transportation (DOT) or public roadway projects specific to the state where the position is located is desirableStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesHigh attention to detailCritical thinking and analytical skillsDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
