This role will perform inspection of material, work in process, and finished parts for conformance to quality standards and customer expectations. Makes adjustments to processes to ensure quality requirements are maintained. Is able to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with a multitude of departments during manufacturing operations. Shift Available: 4th Shift Friday-Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pmPosition ResponsibiliitesOperate production equipment to include but not limited to punch press, press brake, laser marking, metal finishing, and progressive and single stage stamping pressesInput data into the job tracking software systemEnsure the correct program is loaded into production equipmentAccurately load parts into fixtures for operations Troubleshoot the machine and investigate machine issues during production runsMaintain KanBan, Isupply and production plans levelsPerform visual and measurement inspections and accurately documents the resultsInterpret blueprints, follows control plans, and completes IPI’s and PPI’s Follow manufacturing and quality procedures and complies to the documented requirementsMaintain inventory levels and production plans/rates Assist in the packaging of productPerform secondary operations such as cleaning, deburring, passivation, broaching, and die cuttingEnter production information and logs time per part into the ERP system on a timely basisWork as a team member on the production floor, assisting others as needed Mentor Production Machine OperatorsAdhere to all safety policies, including wearing ear and eye protection where requiredPerform safety checks daily prior to running machinerySupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyParticipate in required company meetings Maintain an organized work area (5S)Participate in the Operational Excellence Program Complete all other work duties as assignedAbility to work in a manufacturing environmentPosition Requirements High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment running machining equipmentAbility to set up and run fabrication equipmentAbility to comprehend and follow work instructions, SOP’s and training documents, including the ability to create and document new processes Ability to use hand tools such as a micrometer, pin gauge, caliper and dial indicator Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipmentAbility to read blueprintsExcellent shop math skills to include fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionBasic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to take direction from the area lead or supervisorAbility to provide input to the area lead and participate in department meetingsAbility to cross train in other areas of production when requiredKnowledge of theory of cutting and forming principles on metal and/or plastic component fabrication and processingMechanical AptitudeDexterity and hand and eye coordinationStrong problem-solving skills Position Desired RequirementsManufacturing experience with a variety of process equipmentDiploma in a machining related course from a technical or trade school or equivalent experience, preferredrms Company BenefitsAs a Cretex Medical company, rms offers a full benefit package to its employees.
