Our team operating collaboratively at the intersection of Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Strategy, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance we support and advise executive management on all dimensions of our pricing and monetization strategy across all products and services globally. Candidates will be able to propose pricing and go-to-market strategies that align to corporate strategy and objectives, customer expectations, and financial goals. This will include strategic pricing research methodologies, price sensitivity analysis, and an ability to balance between optimizing for different outcomes.As a Senior Software Pricing Analyst, you will:Manage the pricing and packaging for the SAS product portfolioConduct market and competitive research as well as customer segmentation analysisCreate and maintain the plan for pricing and packaging for your portion of the SAS portfolioFormulating new and innovative pricing strategies to support changing business climatesPresent regular pricing reviews to ensure execution of the pricing strategy aligns with SAS expectations, is in support our strategic and financial goals, and evaluates whether it still meets current or future market conditionsLeverage subject matter experts across SAS to build and refine proposals, build consensus, and position for optimized and eventually approved recommendationsWork closely with Finance to ensure all pricing and licensing models meet revenue recognition standardsEnsure documentation of pricing decisions to support compliance and audit-readinessEmbrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. These are our values and influence everything we do.Required qualifications8 years of SaaS/Software pricing strategy experience or transferable skills from adjacent backgroundsUsage-based pricing experience (especially with respect to Cloud environments)Complex analytical modeling capabilitiesAnalytical balance across customer, revenue, and margin growth with respect to pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategyExperience with analytical tools such as Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, R and Python, AlteryxValue and market based pricerAbility to analyze large amounts of data to estimate profitability and the customer impact of pricing recommendationsCan lead a variety of projects/analyses including product pricing, packaging, business case development or evaluation, and operational executionAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsEquivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.Additional competencies, knowledge and skillsSynthesize complex ideas and communicate them in ways others can easily understandUnderstand the trade-offs around optimizing for customer acquisition, expansion, and retentionStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to influence and negotiateDeep sense of curiosity with critical thinking, attention to detail problem-solving skillsCommunication- Conveying information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listening actively to others.Decision Making- Identifying and understanding problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information; choosing the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making timely decisions; taking action that is consistent with available facts and constraints and optimizes probable consequences.Planning and Organizing- Establishing an action plan for self and others to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.World-class benefits Highlights include...Comprehensive medical, prescription, dental and vision plans.Medical plan options include:PPO with low annual deductible and copays.HDHP combined with a health savings account with a contribution from SAS (no access to on-site health care center).Onsite Health Care Center (HQ) that’s free to employees and family members enrolled in the PPO plan.
