Through their surgical technologies and solutions, including robotics, digital solutions, sutures, staplers, energy devices, trocars, and hemostats, and our commitment to treating serious medical conditions like obesity and cancer worldwide, they deliver innovation to make a life-changing impact._ _Product System Engineer_ + _1 year contract minimum, with possibility of extension to 2 years or conversion to Full Time Employee_ + _On-site 5 days a week_ + _Local to San Jose_ _Job Description_ + _Provide technical support in the design, installation, testing, and start-up for a variety of industrial control systems that support medical device testing or production equipment._ + _Design, develop and assemble electrical or electrical-mechanical modules and systems._ + _Responsible for completing test, electrical, and mechanical engineering duties; coordinates with cross-functional partners to design, manufacture, and test equipment and systems._ + _Lead technicians and junior engineers through equipment build, debug, and verification; track tasks, risks, and schedule to meet milestones._ + _Medical manufacturing equipment and test equipment are designed and manufactured and are associated with this position: bronchoscopy endoscopes, urology endoscopes, Automatic Calibration Stations (ACS), Optical Final Stations (OFS), and other equipment to produce urology surgical accessories and instrumentation._ _Duties & Responsibilities_ + _Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing departments by designing and maintaining high-quality industrial-grade test, production and calibration equipment. _ + _Capability to execute equipment qualifications, IQ/OQ/PQ as well as preventative maintenance on any equipment. _ + _Designs, develops, and tests electrical/electronic aspects of industrial manufacturing equipment according to established policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer requirements._ + _Build prototypes; works with the lab to develop test fixtures of conceptual designs._ + _Documents specifications and requirements on all designs._ + _Solves problems applying fishbone diagram or other standard root cause investigation tools. _ + _Ensures alignment to established project schedules and priorities. Assists others to ensure schedules and priorities are met._ + _Leads in the compliance and safety testing of various mechanical and electrical systems for regulatory agencies._ + _Accountable for the creation, modification, and maintenance of hardware and software for new and revised products._ + _Develops product requirements, objectives, definitions, and modules for a new or revised design. This includes the estimating of the electrical and mechanical engineering effort and materials on jobs or proposals being quoted._ + _Collaborates across departments with other engineering managers, marketing, sales, and engineering personnel during the product development or revision to ensure project and/or job effectiveness._ + _Support manufacturing operations by developing and updating manufacturing documentation, assisting with production activities, and conducting failure investigations to ensure continuous improvements. _ _Required Qualifications_ + _Bacheloru2019s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant field is required_ + _4-7 Years of related work experience is required_ + _Excellent verbal and written communication skills, e.g. presentation skills, email_ + _Experience in the Medical Device industry or other regulated industry_ + _Proven knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and procedures_ + _Project Management experience_ + _Six sigma and process excellence tools/methodologies. Experience with Non-conformances (NCs), CAPAs, MPIs, Work instructions_ + _Problem-solving tools and best practices, e.g. fishbone, etc. Green Belt preferred_ + _Technical proficiency in statistical tools like Minitab, preferred_ + _Programming language experience (e.g., Python), preferred_ + _Experience with PLC programming, servos, actuators, industrial I/O devices, pneumatics, and robots, preferred_ + _Comfortable working in a command-line interface, Linux preferred_ + _Business/financial competence, preferred_ + _Technical proficiency in CAD tools like SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD, preferred_ _Important information:_ _Applicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States immediately and without employer sponsorship_ As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
