Job Description

We are looking for a highly energetic, result oriented, passionate, and hands-on Materials Manager with a desire to join a growing team. The person should be able to support project logistics management as well as plan, direct, and coordinate the activities involved in purchasing materials, products, and services, including maintaining a just in time model to ensure the material is delivered to the datacenter site when needed. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the company has the proper amount of product required for the completion of respective projects. It is the incumbentu2019s responsibility to ensure that suppliers meet the companyu2019s targets for quality, delivery, and total cost of acquisition. The material manager will source products and place Purchase Orders per established Purchasing Best Practices. The position is also charged with establishing the appropriate strategies to enhance product quality and reduce costs. They will hold suppliers accountable within the assigned categories based on established company goals. In addition, this position customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment when buying products for the company, evaluates and implements additions, deletions, and consolidations for products, solicits product information and promotional opportunities from suppliers and communicates this information to management. They maximize fill-rates, increases GMROI for products, and minimize replenishment costs. The position also requires the management of project logistics activities including but not limited to the storage, receiving, inventory, disposition, and shipping of materials. Key Performance Indicators u2022 Inventory Turns u2022 MOS u2013 Months of Supply u2022 Excess & Dead Inventory u2013 as a % of overall inventory u2022 Fill Rates (On Time Delivery) u2022 PO Confirmation Lead Times u2022 PO Cost Reduction QUALIFICATIONS u2022 At least 1-8 years of purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. u2022 Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office. Google, Microsoft, Copa, Wearhouse management Systems. u2022 People management skills. Less than 10 people would overseas. Cross function collaborations, can communicate across parts of the business. Would be client facing on a constant basis, understanding client base (Meta) u2022 Integrated Financial System and/or ERP Software experience, such as Commerce Center, J.D. Edwards, etc. is preferred. u2022 CPM or advanced education in Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus u2022 Relevant product knowledge u2022 Prior negotiating experience helpful (not as much as a need, just having flexibility of the change.) u2022 Previous experience in the datacenter industry is helpful u2022 Knowledge and experience working with Copper/Fiber Optic Testing/Cabling Standards a plus u2022 Data and Tela Communications. u2022 Working with all the team menbers. .
