Job Title: Concrete Carpenter Job Description This role requires working under the direct supervision of site superintendents, with regular monitoring by ownership. The position involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand and power tools. The work encompasses both interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Please note, employees will not operate any equipment or drive vehicles, nor handle money. All jobsites are uninhabited structures. Responsibilities + Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures using various materials. + Utilize hand and power tools for carpentry tasks. + Work on both interior and exterior projects across different types of buildings. Essential Skills + Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. + Experience with drywall, rough carpentry, metal stud, concrete, and finish carpentry. + Knowledge of building codes and standard carpentry methods. + Ability to read and understand technical plans, blueprints, and drawings. + Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Critical thinking to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches. + Understanding of construction equipment and tools, including repair and maintenance. + Ability to plan ahead and organize jobsite material and activity. + Inspection skills for quality control and performance evaluation. + Effective resource and time management. Work Environment The work is conducted on commercial projects for multiple buildings including a distribution center, mechanic/truck shop, and health clinic/pharmacy. The environment is that of a general contractor's setting, focusing on commercial construction projects. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Manitowoc, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
