Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and compliance within our organization. This role will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reporting, and driving strategic decision-making. Located in Sandy, Utah, this position offers an opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the companyu2019s long-term success. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. u2022 Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, delivering detailed reports. u2022 Conduct weekly reconciliations for bank accounts and credit cards to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Analyze cash flow and forecast future needs to support company operations. u2022 Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring proper job cost allocation. u2022 Track project costs, monitor progress, and identify variances between actual and budgeted expenses. u2022 Partner with project managers to refine cost projections and improve financial outcomes. u2022 Process biweekly payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations. u2022 Coordinate audits, tax filings, and insurance policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws. u2022 Implement and optimize accounting software and workflows to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management. u2022 Proficiency in accounts payable, job costing, and cost accounting. u2022 Strong knowledge of construction accounting and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules. u2022 Expertise in managing general ledger and financial reporting processes. u2022 Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights. u2022 Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance. u2022 Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. u2022 Proficiency in accounting systems and software tools.
