The Role The Manager of Risk Finance, based in Chicago, IL, will support Hyattu2019s Risk Management function by managing the financial governance of Hyattu2019s global risk financing programs, including captive insurance operations and Hyattu2019s commercial insurance program. This position will work closely with Treasury, FP&A, Corporate Accounting, and various external partners to ensure that the risk financing solutions are financially sound, compliant, and aligned with Hyattu2019s business objectives. Key Responsibilities u00b7 ufeffufeffufeffufeffPrepare monthly cash and department forecasts for both Hyatt Risk Management and Hyattu2019s captive insurance company. u00b7 Review insurance program financial statements and audit reports for completeness and accuracy. u00b7 ufeffufeffManage data compilation of underlying exposures for captive premium pricing and review corresponding impacts within the quarterly actuarial reports. u00b7 Prepare semi-annual Board of Directors meeting materials for the captive. u00b7 Assist with annual budgeting process to establish the companyu2019s Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) and allocate costs to participating hotels. u00b7 Address hotel inquiries regarding their insurance costs and general market conditions. u00b7 ufeffufeffufeffufeffPrepare monthly reporting to monitor actual forecasted spend compared to budget and investigate variances to budget. u00b7 ufeffufeffCollaborate with Corporate Accounting to address reconciling items identified in account reconciliations and provide periodic updates to leadership regarding insurance account balances. u00b7 Manage relationships with insurance brokers, captive managers, actuaries, investment managers, and other thirdu2011party service providers. u00b7 Supervise Risk Management accounts payable processes and collaborate with the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams to ensure all accruals are processed timely. u00b7 ufeffufeffManage collateral (letters of credit and surety bonds) including annual reviews and periodic updates. u00b7 Address both internal and external audit requests and ensure SOX compliance. Qualifications: Experience Required: u00b7 5 years of experience related to Risk Management, Accounting, and/or Finance functions, as well as professional communications. u00b7 Proficiency with Microsoft Office, enterprise financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), and enterprise risk management systems (e.g., Ventiv, Origami, RiskConnect). u00b7 Proven ability to manage crossu2011functional initiatives and engage effectively with senior stakeholders. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
