Description The Familias Unidas Niu00f1os Sanos (FUNS) project is a research program designed to improve dietary habits, physical activity, and body mass index outcomes among young Latino children through caregiver engagement, skill building, and health education. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator supports the Program Manager and Principal Investigator in the operational management of study activities. Responsibilities include assisting with study implementation, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations, and supporting the achievement of project milestones and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills are essential. This role requires the ability to work independently in community or field-based settings and to build and maintain effective relationships with community partners. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with children, parents, and families. Qualifications include fluency in English and Spanish, reliable transportation for regional travel, and availability to work across communities in Los Angeles County to support recruitment, enrollment, and data collection. Evening and weekend availability is required based on project needs. _This is a full-time, limited appointment that_ _may convert to career._ Salary Range: $27.08 - 43.55 Hourly Qualifications Required: + Required to hold a valid California State Driver's License and have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures + Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy. Ability to concentrate and focus on a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines. + Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively establish rapport, building collaborative relationships, and communicate complex concepts and ideas in an easy to understand manner in both English and Spanish. + Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions and the ability to respond to situations in an appropriate and professional manner. + Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours, including some weekend and evening hours, to accommodate research deadlines. + Ability to handle confidential material information with judgement and discretion. + Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry.
