Job Description Oracle is seeking a US-based Principal Energy Program Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Infrastructure Capacity and Planning. As an energy procurement leader, you will have day-to-day responsibility for shaping and driving Oracleu2019s approach to energy procurement, specifically [onsite/offsite] electricity and gas, as well as supporting broader team efforts around energy innovation, hedging strategies, renewable energy and sustainability. As part of Oracle, we have a goal to reach 100% renewable energy, halve our global operational emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. Sustainable and scalable energy procurement is growing in focus across our business and this role will provide critical expertise and execution across Oracle Cloud data centers. Responsibilities Responsibilities u00b7 Responsible for day-to-day management of Oracle Cloudu2019s data center energy strategy across specific markets u2013 with near term priority in U.S. deregulated markets but possible oversight in North and South America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific. u00b7 Create and manage requirements around energy sourcing including leveraging expertise of regulated and deregulated power markets, financial modeling and analysis, managing RFPs, contract negotiations, development and execution of forward purchasing strategies, collection and preparation of high-quality data. u00b7 Work closely with retail energy providers, energy suppliers, and internal stakeholders to monitor real-time market conditions that will information short-term and long-term transaction decisions. u00b7 Engage with energy and sustainability consultant(s) to evolve strategy and reporting. u00b7 Monitor energy markets and specific utilities, IPPs, and electric grids for opportunities and risks and recommend strategies for Oracle to stay ahead of these challenges. u00b7 Cross-functionally develop and manage relationships across Oracle including with capacity planning, data center infrastructure build, site selection, supply chain management, data center engineering, data center operations, and corporate sustainability and procurement teams. u00b7 Coordinate with onsite generation and other solution providers and teams to ensure seamless power delivery across a range of technologies u2013 utility grids, behind the meter solutions, gas plants, renewables etc. u00b7 Partner with finance on developing annual energy budgets based on knowledge of current and future footprint and changing energy prices. u00b7 Prepare white papers and presentations for executives on strategy and progress. Qualifications u00b7 Desire to work in the fast-paced environment of AI/GPU computing and hyperscale data center design, construction, and operations. u00b7 10+ years professional experience; 10+ years managing corporate (C&I) power procurement or utility/IPP power origination, within a large matrix environment. u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, STEM or business with technical expertise on energy and data center topics. u00b7 Understanding of regulated and deregulated energy markets, power hedging, energy supply agreements and power purchase agreements. u00b7 Experience with mark to market accounting and managing market exposure. u00b7 Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and making carbon reduction and renewable energy claims: Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Science-based Targets, CDP, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, etc. u00b7 Experience developing annual energy budgets and working with finance teams to project the cost of power. u00b7 Advanced Excel expertise building financial models and analyzing energy rates, riders, fees etc. u00b7 Articulate, executive presence, comfort with negotiations and supplier engagement. u00b7 Willingness to support global time zones. u00b7 Willingness to travel as required including internationally. Additional Preferred Qualifications u00b7 3+ years' experience with utility interconnection processes and familiarity with transmission planning u00b7 As Oracle also has a renewable energy goal, 1-3+ years executing renewable energy strategies including familiarity with green tariffs, wheeling arrangements, behind the meter deals, and VPPAs. u00b7 Data center or mission critical expertise developing and executing energy strategies cross-functionally. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
