A Day in the Life What You Will Do: The Regional Sales Manager u2013 Self-Assist is responsible for driving retail sales per door and leading the education strategy for Armani Beauty and Valentino Beauty across Sephora and Ulta Beauty accounts within a defined district. This leader maintains excellent relationships within doors, manages a team of Account Executives, and ensures accounts are optimized to maximize daily and monthly business goals, promotional activities, and new launches. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your existing skills and deep knowledge of the self-assist retail landscape to positively impact the consumer experience strategy across Sephora and Ulta doors u2014 while managing a dynamic, multi-unit field business across a broad geographic footprint. This would include, but would not be limited to, the following accountabilities: Requirements + 5+ years of experience in retail or the service industry. + 5+ years of beauty or retail management experience; self-assist retail experience (Sephora and/or Ulta) strongly preferred. + Strong interpersonal communication and empathy skills. + Sound judgment and the ability to make thoughtful decisions in a fast-paced, self-assist retail environment. + Collaborative team player with a growth mindset and a passion for luxury beauty. + People management experience required. + Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, OneNote & Teams. Key Accountabilities ? People Leadership + Manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives (AEs) across the district, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous growth. + Work side by side with AEs in Sephora and Ulta doors to mentor and develop selling, education, and artistry skills u2014 ensuring each team member is equipped to perform at their highest potential. + Drive leadership development by co-creating clearly defined performance expectations, career development goals, and succession plans in partnership with Human Resources. + Arrange and spearhead seasonal planning meetings; prepare and deliver compelling seasonal retailer presentations that align the team around key priorities, launches, and promotional activities. + Participate in and/or organize regional retailer strategy meetings, representing the brand with credibility and authority. + Attend and actively participate in sales and management training meetings and events as directed by senior leadership. + Create an environment that celebrates achievement, encourages open communication, and holds the team to the highest professional standard across all Sephora and Ulta partnerships. ? Customer Centricity + Educate retailer Beauty Advisors across Sephora and Ulta doors on how to effectively sell Armani Beauty and Valentino Beauty products using brand-specific training and education tools u2014 including Daily Micro Training (DMT) in Ulta and double dose or informal coaching sessions with walk-in gratis in Sephora. + Coach Beauty Advisors to increase conversion and basket size by ensuring full ownership of their responsibilities; work closely with the Regional Sales Director to confirm that training standards are consistently upheld across the district. + Partner with Sephora store and district leadership by ensuring brand surveys are requested at the conclusion of store visits, reviewing results to identify training opportunities and sharing key findings with relevant stakeholders. + Provide strategic insight on consumer shopping behaviors, competitive activity, and evolving beauty trends within the self-assist retail environment to inform brand and retailer strategies. + Champion the use of retailer-specific virtual tools including Glam Lab and Color IQ across Sephora and Ulta doors to elevate the personalized consumer beauty experience. + Accelerate consumer acquisition and defend brand loyalty through consistent visual merchandising execution, brand presence on-shelf, and maintaining collaborative relationships with Sephora and Ulta store and district leadership. u2699 Operational + Responsible for daily, monthly, and seasonal tracking of total retail performance within the district u2014 monitoring door-level results across both Sephora and Ulta to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. + Analyze Luxe Dashboard sales reporting to understand district achievement vs. sales plan, year-over-year growth, and sales trends; translate findings into actionable strategies for the AE team. + Utilize Luxe Dashboards to monitor newness and core SKU performance, tracking sales trends following key market trainings and activations at both Sephora and Ulta. + Evaluate and monitor inventory levels across doors; escalate inventory replenishment needs through the appropriate directed channels u2014 HLOR, ACCR, and Mia u2014 to protect sales and shelf presence. + Continuously assess and evaluate gondola productivity and brand ranking within assigned doors, with a specific focus on Top 100 Sephora and Ulta doors. Proactively surface improvement opportunities in partnership with the Regional Sales Director. + Partner with the Regional Sales Director to forecast individual and district-level sales plans, collaborating on a door development strategy and scheduling adequate support aligned with business growth needs. + Support AE recruitment, onboarding, and training of freelance Beauty Advisors to meet and exceed sales budgets; review freelancer productivity monthly and optimize hour allocations based on door performance data. + Actively participate in the planning of the Sell-Through National Sales Meeting and Sephora and Ulta leadership conferences as directed by senior leadership. + Remain current on updates to Sephora processes, portal communications, and Ulta operational guidelines to ensure the field team is always operating with the most up-to-date information.
