Job Title: Construction Administrator Architect Job Description We are seeking a trusted leader in construction administration who provides technical guidance and client advisory support on complex healthcare, laboratory, and renovation projects. This role demands strong judgment, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset to navigate codes, building systems, and construction challenges. You will play a key role in delivering quality outcomes, supporting clients, and upholding our values of service, innovation, and teamwork. Responsibilities + Manage construction phase activities for multiple healthcare, laboratory, and renovation projects, including site meetings, submittals, RFIs, and pay application reviews. + Serve as a primary point of coordination between owners, contractors, and the design team to support project goals, schedules, and quality standards. + Apply working knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and building systems to resolve construction issues and support field decisions. + Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for compliance with contract documents, design intent, and quality expectations. + Perform site visits and field observations, document findings, and communicate issues clearly to the project team. + Monitor scope changes, substitutions, and construction impacts; coordinate with the project manager on additional services and cost implications. + Support change management, including change orders, construction change directives, and payment applications. + Foster collaboration across disciplines and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. + Mentor team members, encourage a positive project environment, and contribute to talent development. + Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal support, and participation in interviews as needed. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Revit Architecture and construction administration. + Strong background in architecture and project management. + Experience in data entry, project coordination, and renovation construction administration. + Ability to manage clients, consultants, and overall projects. + Knowledge of change orders and RFIs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must be local + Eligibility to work in the US. + Basic understanding of codes and ADA. + Client interfacing personality. + 8+ years of experience in related fields. Work Environment The role requires visiting project sites in Northern Virginia at least once a week. Otherwise, you will work in the office or remotely. We offer a plan to offset the costs of licenses and provide additional compensation for parking benefits if needed. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
