Job Title: Multi u2011 Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Job Location- Remote, USA _Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future_ We are seeking a highly skilled Multi u2011 Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and operate secure, resilient, and scalable cloud platforms across Microsoft Azure (primary), Google Cloud Platform (secondary), and Amazon Web Services (tertiary) . This role is responsible for ensuring platform reliability, availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency through automationu2011first engineering, infrastructureu2011asu2011code (IaC), and Site Reliability Engineering best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong handsu2011on cloud engineering experience with architectural thinking, governance expertise, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. In this role, you will u00b7 Design, build, and operate enterpriseu2011scale multiu2011cloud platforms , with Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and resilience across Azure, GCP, and AWS. u00b7 Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles by defining and managing SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, driving proactive reliability improvements, capacity planning, and reduction of operational toil. u00b7 Develop and maintain infrastructureu2011asu2011code (IaC) using Terraform as the standard, along with ARM/Bicep, GCP Deployment Manager, and AWS CloudFormation to enable consistent, automated, and repeatable multiu2011environment deployments. u00b7 Implement automation and DevOps practices using Python and PowerShell to enhance platform stability, enable selfu2011healing capabilities, streamline operations, and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform services. u00b7 Design and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance controls , including identity and access management, policy guardrails, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies across all cloud providers. u00b7 Establish robust observability and incident management practices , including monitoring, logging, alerting, and rootu2011cause analysis, to ensure rapid detection and resolution of reliability and performance issues. u00b7 Collaborate with architecture, security, application, and operations teams , clearly communicating complex technical concepts, producing highu2011quality documentation, and serving as a technical advisor on cloud reliability and operational best practices. What youu2019ll need to succeed (required skills) Experience + 5+ years of handsu2011on experience with Microsoft Azure (primary platform) + 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) + 1+ year of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) + Proven experience operating production, businessu2011critical cloud workloads in enterprise environments Technical Skills + Strong expertise in multiu2011cloud architecture and design principles + Deep knowledge of infrastructureu2011asu2011code and automation tooling + Solid experience with: + Cloud networking (VNETs/VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancing) + Identity and access management (IAM) + Scripting and automation ( Python, PowerShell ) + Platform services (compute, storage, databases, messaging) + Kubernetes and container platforms + Observability and monitoring tools Operational Knowledge + Strong understanding of fundamental IT operations + Working knowledge of ITIL principles , incident, problem, and change management + Experience supporting 24x7 platforms with defined SLAs and operational processes Preferred skills: what will help you stand out + Experience designing enterprise cloud landing zones and reference architectures + Advanced experience with Terraform modules and multiu2011environment deployments + Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies + Exposure to regulated or complianceu2011driven environments + Prior experience working in an SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
