Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain industry experience in a regulated laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory testing of blood glucose test strips and ensuring accuracy and precision in results. Responsibilities + Perform laboratory testing of blood glucose test strips within environmental chambers. + Prepare and process blood samples for testing. + Manipulate and test hematocrit levels. + Perform glucose spiking for testing accuracy and performance. + Accurately document test results and observations per protocols. + Operate and maintain basic laboratory instruments and equipment. + Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and procedural guidelines. Essential Skills + Laboratory techniques + Wet chemistry + Chemistry + Biology + Medical laboratory skills + Titration + Proficiency with pipettes and pipetting + Experience with centrifuges Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree or coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, or related field (or equivalent lab experience). + Previous experience working with blood samples preferred. + Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and instrumentation. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures. + Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing/lab environment. Work Environment This role involves frequent trips between the laboratory and environmental chambers. The work schedule follows a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Work involves using instruments such as centrifuges, pipettes, capillary tubes, and environmental chambers (5u00b0C-40u00b0C). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
