Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary: Under the general direction of the Supervisor, will maintain proper staffing based upon census and acuity. The team leader will monitor productivity and assure that all therapists are complying with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Assure compliance with blood gas quality control, ekg editing, and other assignments as directed. The team leader will be a liaison with physicians and nursing house supervisors, to resolve clinical issues as they occur, and then report them to the supervisor. Other duties will include chart audits and supply ordering, and other duties as directed by the supervisor. The team leader provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
