Job Summary and Qualifications Join our team as a Perioperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You willbe responsible forplanning, executing, and evaluating the nursing carerenderedpreoperatively and postoperatively until your patients are discharged. As a valued addition to our company, you willexhibitthe values ofSurgery Ventures powered byHCAHealthcareas a whole, as well asyour individual center, providing quality carelike family.What you will do in this role:Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before caseEnsure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedureConduct complete physical, and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic testsAdminister pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribedYou willexhibitproper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locksCheck dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeonEnsure your patients meet discharge criteriaQualifications you will need:Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or SurgeryActive RN license as required by state of employmentBCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptableACLSrequiredwithin 30-days of hirePALS if required by facility within 30-days of hireBenefits North Texas Float Pool, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
