The Senior Mainframe Developer will support several mission-critical systems and processes. This role will provide technical expertise for ongoing interface operations, inquiry-only applications, the Child Placement and Payment System (CPPS), and Central Registry applications for the Child Welfare program. Additionally, the position will support Data Conversion activitiesJob duties:• Leading data conversion efforts and implementing application enhancements based on evolving business needs• Diagnose and resolve application issues and provide production support using technologies such as CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, stored procedures, and other supporting mainframe tools• Senior-level business and systems analysis, modeling and design, and programming using COBOL, CICS, and DB2• Participating in effort estimation, consulting and planning for system modifications and enhancements, and monitoring technical activities to ensure alignment with schedules, milestones, and deliverables• Provide regular status updates, time reporting, and ensure quality assurance and compliance with state, departmental, and divisional standardsAdditional Details: • This position requires on-call availability for nightly batch processes, including both weekdays and weekends• Final hourly pay will be between $60 and $75 based on the candidate’s level of experience and interview performance
