This hybrid position, based in Nashville, TN, is ideal for an engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments and has a proven track record of architecting, optimizing, and supporting large-scale storage and data protection infrastructures.Enterprise Storage EngineeringDesign, deploy, and manage enterprise storage solutions using Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade.Perform storage provisioning, zoning, performance tuning, and capacity planning across SAN and NAS environments.Lead lifecycle management, firmware upgrades, and storage migrations with minimal downtime.Backup & Data ProtectionArchitect, implement, and maintain Rubrik backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.Develop and enforce backup policies, retention schedules, and recovery procedures.Perform regular backup validation, restore testing, and compliance reporting.Cloud Storage & Hybrid ArchitectureSupport and integrate cloud storage solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP (S3, Blob, EFS, FSx, etc.).Assist in designing hybrid storage architectures and cloud-based backup strategies.Optimize data flows between on-prem and cloud environments.Operations, Automation & TroubleshootingMonitor storage and backup environments, ensuring high availability and performance.Troubleshoot complex storage, backup, and replication issues across multi-vendor platforms.Automate routine tasks using scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible).Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, and security teams to support enterprise workloads.7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage engineering and backup administration.Strong expertise with Pure Storage storage platforms.Proven experience with Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.Solid understanding of SAN/NAS concepts, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and storage networking.Experience with cloud storage technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Strong troubleshooting skills in large-scale, mission-critical environments.Proficiency with automation and scripting.Preferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as:Pure Storage (PCSA, PCSE)Rubrik (Ranger)Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix) and container storage (OpenShift, Kubernetes).In exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes:MedicalDentalVisionPaid Life/AD&D InsuranceVoluntary Life InsuranceShort & Long Term DisabilityFlexible Spending Accounts401KGenerous Vacation and Sick Program10 Paid HolidaysEducation Assistance ProgramBusiness Casual AttireGenerous Referral ProgramEmployee Discounts and RewardsAnd much more!*All resumes are held in confidence.
