Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Orange, California. In this role, you will handle critical accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial records. u2022 Reconcile balance sheets and other accounts monthly to confirm the accuracy and completeness of financial data. u2022 Generate detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines. u2022 Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. u2022 Participate in budgeting processes by compiling and analyzing financial data. u2022 Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. u2022 Monitor organizational expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies. u2022 Collaborate with teams to complete special accounting projects as assigned. u2022 Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance in all financial practices. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related roles. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries, general ledger management, and corporate tax returns. u2022 Strong knowledge of corporate and sales tax compliance. u2022 Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (experience with Microsoft systems is a plus). u2022 Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
