Job Title: Janitorial Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Worker to join our team. This position primarily operates during the day shift with core hours from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM starting in May. The job site includes a college campus and various common areas and buildings. This role requires performing janitorial duties under the guidance of a Supervisor or Manager, with an emphasis on quality customer service and proper cleaning techniques. Responsibilities + Vacuum, sweep, and mop flooring and stairs. + Clean and sanitize bathrooms. + Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms. + Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas. + Empty all trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as necessary. + Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. + Clean windowsills and windows. + Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner. + Ensure janitorial equipment is clean, safe, and operable. + Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times. + Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner. + Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Six months or more of related customer service and/or facility services experience. + Good communication and interpersonal skills. + Good client/customer service skills. + Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. + Attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Valid Driver's License is a plus. + Floor care experience is a plus. + Custodial experience. + General labor or housekeeping experience. Why Work Here? The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending, and repetitive movement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
