VP Strategic Sourcing

What We Offer The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing is responsible for setting and executing the enterprise strategic sourcing vision for Novant Healthu2019s health system footprint. This role leads all non-labor sourcing activities across clinical supplies, purchased services, capital equipment, and select indirect categories, with a strong emphasis on value creation, standardization, clinician engagement, and financial performance. The VP partners closely with clinical, financial, operational, and Executive leadership to deliver sustainable cost improvement while supporting quality, access, safety and growth. This role complies with and supports organizational and departmental policies and procedures. This individual maintains and demonstrates professional competency according to department policies, procedures and protocols. What You'll Do Essential Functions + Develop and deploy a standardized, enterprise-wide strategic sourcing methodology aligned with Novant Healthu2019s priorities and financial targets + Partner with senior leaders, clinical executives, and key supply partners to ensure sourcing decisions support safety, quality and outcomes + Assess sourcing needs and lead planning efforts + Own sourcing-related ROI measurement, value realization tracking, and executive reporting + Set policies and standards + Attract, develop and retain talent to build and maintain a distinctive sourcing organization + Champion Sourcing within Novant + Deliver year over year non-labor cost savings + Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership + Ensure organization buy-in for successful implementation + Manage key supplier relationships (i.e., those with significant spend across multiple divisions) + Oversight of the procurement function + Delivers world class customer service What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. Masteru2019s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain or related field. Experience: 10+ years, required. Sourcing Experience with demonstrated success in Annual Total Cost of Ownership reduction, preferably within a medium to large health system, IDN or GPO. Strategic planning and Leadership. Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Business skills + Distinctive organization building skills, including talent attraction and establishing links across Novantu2019s divisions and functions + Strong executive presence with ability to influence clinicians, operational finance leaders and senior facility leaders + World class supplier relationship skills with ability to ensure access, resilience and competitive advantage Technical skills + Deep experience in contract negotiation, supplier strategy and value-based sourcing models + Strategic ability to develop high-impact sourcing strategies and communicate these effectively through presentations to all levels of Executive, operational and clinical leadership + Analytic ability to understand and define most critical issues (total cost of ownership, make vs lease vs buy, NPV, ROI) + Strong negotiating skills based on a thorough understanding of sales/marketing practices Why Choose Novant Health?
