Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent employment opportunity, offering the chance to grow within a dynamic organization in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in payroll systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Collect and verify payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, and tax withholdings, from various records. u2022 Review and update payroll records to reflect changes in employee status, compensation, and benefits. u2022 Ensure accuracy in wages, deductions, and payroll entries, and prepare paychecks as needed. u2022 Generate periodic reports on earnings, taxes, and deductions for internal and external use. u2022 Manage onboarding and termination paperwork, maintaining accurate employee records. u2022 Oversee vacation and sick leave records, ensuring compliance with company policies. u2022 Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, claims processing, and open enrollment activities. u2022 Respond to inquiries from employees about pay, benefits, and other HR-related topics. u2022 Maintain compliance with federal and local regulations, including preparing necessary filings and documentation. u2022 Support workers' compensation claims management by filing reports and monitoring progress. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in payroll administration, including full-cycle payroll processing. u2022 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management. u2022 Ability to quickly learn and adapt to payroll systems, such as Paycom. u2022 Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong understanding of HR principles and federal/local employment regulations. u2022 Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. u2022 Effective communication skills to address employee questions and concerns.
