(Subject to change) DESCRIPTIONS OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Airport Operations Specialist ensures operational excellence throughout the Airport Badging business unit of Bush Intercontinental Airport by providing friendly customer service while conducting badging operations to include background checks, manage data in spreadsheets and carry out clerical duties, including answering phones and preparing documents. The purpose of the Security group at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), one of three airports that make up the Houston Airport System (HAS), is to use intelligence-led, risk-based operations to enhance airport security, reduce fear, and provide a safe environment to the traveling public. Airport Security staff-members ensure compliance with Federal regulations as well as HAS Operating Instructions. The Airport Operations Specialist provides guidance to team members and customers to help facilitate the badging process required for obtaining their security clearance. The Airport Operations Specialist will facilitate the formation of company profiles for access control and billing functions and are responsible for providing all required training associated with the IAH Airport Badging Office. Candidates must be able to obtain all security required badge access including Custom Border Patrol access within 6 months from the hire date.
