This job was posted by : For more information,please see: alongside a drone pilot, assisting with visual observation andsupporting drone operationsExcellent opportunity with the County Mosquito Abatement DivisionWork four 10-hour shifts and enjoy three-day weekends (MondayThursdayand TuesdayFriday schedules)Long-term, full-time, seasonal position lasting up to 9 months$17.50 per hour starting wagePay increase available upon obtaining the required licensingPaid training and licensing providedDispatch location based out of Meridian, IDDuties:Identify and treat mosquito breeding sites and standing water usinglarvicidesInspect and monitor catch basins, ponds, ditches, containers, and otherwater-holding areasDocument treatments, product usage, and environmental conditions;monitor effectiveness and perform follow-upsOperate application equipment, backpack sprayers, spreaders, andsurveillance toolsAssist the pilot with airspace awareness, obstacle detection, andmaintaining visual line of sight (VLOS), while monitoring aircraftposition, altitude, and surroundingsSupport safe takeoff, landing, and site setup; communicate real-timehazards to the pilot; and help ensure efficient operations by reducingpilot workload and improving situational awarenessAssist drone pilot with setup, pre-flight checks, visual observation,battery changes, loading products, and safe launch/recoveryUse mobile devices, GPS units, and hand-held computers for navigation,mapping, and documentationMaintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas; follow properstorage and disposal of pesticide containersWear and maintain PPE and navigate varied field environmentsCommunicate professionally with the public regarding mosquito controleffortsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:Valid drivers license with a good driving recordMust be drug-freeAbility to obtain required Pest Department licensing within one month ofhireKnowledge of basic mathematics for accurate mixing and pesticideapplicationAbility to safely operate pest control equipmentAbility to read, understand, and follow chemical labels, SDS sheets, andwritten work ordersAbility to recognize pest infestations and assess treatment needsAbility to use computers, mobile field devices, and GPS technologyAbility to communicate effectively with coworkers and the publicAbility to work independently in the field and collaboratively as partof a teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weatherconditionsAbility to obtain ATV certification prior to operating ATV equipment ifrequiredWillingness to work in a safety-sensitive position subject to randomdrug testingAbility to be cross-trained as neededWhy work for Personnel Plus, Inc.As the area's largest Staffing Service, we value adding you as a memberof our great teamYour application will be considered for many urgent openingsApply Today - work todayFlex pay - choose Direct Deposit, pay card, or paper checkHealth Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life InsuranceReferral Hiring IncentivesWe never charge a fee
