Line Cook

Currahee Club is seeking a Line Cook Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.General Purpose:Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and enjoyment. Essential Duties:Prepare sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needsUtilize whole food products eliminating any wasteMaintain overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areasAlert chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely mannerRequisition inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily productionEnsure proper storage of food items; wrap, date, and rotate food itemsIncorporate safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as requiredEducation/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands:Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smellsRegularly walks and reaches with hands and armsOccasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawlsRegularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 poundsEnvironment/Noise:Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical partsOccasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weatherNoise level is moderate Certificates/Licenses:Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
