Litigation Paralegal

Description We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our team in San Diego, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to assist with trust and estate litigation, probate matters, and conservatorships while supporting a lead partner in a dynamic litigation department. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and expertise in managing multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage a caseload of 25-30 litigation cases, focusing on calendaring, deadline tracking, and case progression in collaboration with the supervising attorney. u2022 Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly categorized and accessible. u2022 Assist in the preparation of estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives. u2022 Conduct legal research using tools such as Data Tree and Nationwide to support case development. u2022 Utilize Share File and Best Authority to create tables of contents and authorities for legal filings. u2022 Support probate and estate litigation processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. u2022 Coordinate conservatorship matters, providing administrative and legal assistance as required. u2022 Prepare and submit legal billing using appropriate software. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progression. Requirements u2022 Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum of 3 yearsu2019 experience in civil litigation, with a focus on probate and estate matters. u2022 Proficiency in Share File, Best Authority, Data Tree, Nationwide, and legal billing software. u2022 Advanced case management skills, including the ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage deadlines effectively. u2022 Strong organizational abilities to balance multiple tasks and priorities throughout the day. u2022 Experience drafting estate planning documents such as trusts, wills, and healthcare directives. u2022 Knowledge of legal processes related to probate, conservatorships, and estate litigation. u2022 Excellent communication skills to collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other professionals.
