Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is partnering with a reputable organization in the San Diego area to identify a Staff Accountant for a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for an accounting professional looking to build on their experience while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced team. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations + Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances + Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed + Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data + Assist with financial reporting and internal reporting packages + Prepare supporting schedules for audits and assist with requests + Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency Requirements Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 2+ years of accounting experience + Understanding of GAAP principles + Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) + Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred) + High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
