Lead AV Technician with a CTS - I

MCS is hiring for a LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I, in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I must demonstrate experience with A/V, Data, Voice, Networking, and Fiber cabling. The LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.Typical duties include:Terminating, Testing, Soldering, and Dressing all Low Voltage Cabling.Reading and interpreting blueprints.Using Scissor Lifts / Boom Lifts.Traveling to project and user locations around the greater Tampa Bay Area.Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends. Installing and setting up media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and plete electrical wiring, programming, and basic constructionSetting up additional AV tools like equipment racks.Required:Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.OSHA 10/30, CTS, Creston, AMX, or Extron certifications desiredCTS-I is Highly DesiredExperience Requirements:4 years of Low Voltage or Control Systems experience preferred.4 years of experience installing AV/VTC equipment.Ability to terminate cabling.Ability to gain access to DOD/Government facilities.Ability to communicate effectively with customers. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.ntSitting at desk. Phone use and PC/laptop. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files.
