In this leadership role, you will guide and support clinical teams, promote a culture of excellence, and help shape the future of patient care through servant leadership.What You’ll DoLead and support competent, compassionate co‑workers in delivering exceptional patient care.Ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate closely with the Staffing Office on patient flow and bed management.Use resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals.Partner with clinical leadership, physicians, and administrative teams to enhance workflows and improve processes across the continuum of spire and model a shared vision—encouraging change, professional growth, and continuous improvement.Mentor, guide, and empower co‑workers to become leaders of change within the organization.Provide meaningful recognition and foster a positive, engaging team culture through servant leadership.Hold direct and indirect caregivers accountable for professional responsibilities, adherence to policies, and regulatory standards.Participate in performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.Demonstrate Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards in all interactions.QualificationsEducation:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:Associate Degree in NursingNursing DiplomaBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experienceCertifications:Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.Preferred QualificationsEducation:BSN preferredLicensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferredExperience:Prior management experience - experience within change managementPhysical RequirementsAbility to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularlyProlonged standing and walking throughout the shiftAbility to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing dutiesWhy Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
