Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced HVAC Technicians for projects located in or around South Bend, IN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $45-$60/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a HVAC Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on ammonia, CO2 and Freon refrigerationsystemsComplex system installations, startups and commissioningRespond to emergency service calls & troubleshooting issuesRead & interprettechnical drawings, schematics and P&IDs to support efficient repairs & installationsEnsure compliance with all safety, environmentaland regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA, PSM)Communicate efficiently with service manager, service coordinator and customers regardingjob status, repairs and recommendationsMaintain detailed service records, reports & documentation in accordance with company standardsAssist in planning & coordinating resources, tools & materials for service & project workStay current with industry technologies, codes and best practicesPrepare quotes for customers based on required service, parts, and laborIdentify potential new customers and opportunities for service growth, supporting the company’s business development effortMaintain company vehicles assigned for service work, including routine inspections, cleaning, fueling, and reporting any maintenance needs or damageUse company credit cards responsibly for approved business-related expenses, following company policies and submitting receipts and documentation promptlyRequirements:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial refrigeration (ammonia, CO₂, or Freon systems)RETA certification (CIRO, CARO, CRST or equivalent) preferredStrong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, controls, and safety protocolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDsFamiliarity with PSM/RMP compliance and documentationStrong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordWillingness to travel and work on-call as requiredTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
