OpportunityResponsible for preparing food products thatrepresentthe standards for all restaurants, banquets, and a la carte serviceswith quality, consistency, and surroundings in mind.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESProductionPrepare all foods necessary for service to thedemonstratedculinary standards.Produce all quantities according to forecast and par levels.Ordering and Inventory ControlOrder according to establishedpars, where needed.Fill out proper prep lists daily to keep effective communicationchannelsRotate all food stocks (i.e.first in, first out).Assistin monthly inventory taking,if necessary.SanitationEnsure thatfoodsprepared do not fallinthe temperature dangerzone andtake immediate action if jeopardized.Adhere to Company grooming policies, break policies,and eating policies.Practice safe food handling techniquesalwaysand in all venues.SafetyMaintainthe knife safety standardsoutlined from knife safety trainingdocument.Utilizethe safetystations andbeaware ofany current or potentialhazards.Working knowledge of all equipment within your job duties.Know how to assemble, disassemble,and cleanallequipment.Assistin the training of Cook I’s in culinary skillset, safety, and sanitation practices.Demonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to proper and safe food handling.Gain exposure to other stations of homedepartmentand other departments aroundresort.This is a full-time position working both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 5:30 am and 9:00 pm.Skills/RequirementsWorking knowledge of culinary terms.Basic knowledge of culinary techniques.Able to execute recipes accuratelyin a timely manner.Able to work food prep and salad stations in assigned kitchen.Preferred, but notrequired-Have a high school diploma and or a reading,speakingand written fluency in English.Entry levelposition,no professional schooling isrequired.Haveat least2yearsculinaryexperience, recommended.Be able toworkall stations of assigned kitchen, appetizer/dessert, grill,sautéand food preparation stations.Experiencing work in multiple departments/venues inresort.Have exposure to resort guests through guest facing activities/pleted sanitation courseApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.We believe in supporting you from the moment you join us, which is why Kohler offers day 1 benefits.
