Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth financial operations of the company by ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices. The role requires proficiency in invoice coding, three-way matching, and general ledger assignment to maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Responsibilities: u2022 Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency, handling up to 1,000 invoices per month. u2022 Perform three-way matching for purchase order transactions, ensuring alignment between purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. u2022 Assign accurate general ledger codes to invoices based on accounting guidelines and organizational requirements. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices promptly to ensure timely payments. u2022 Communicate effectively with internal managers to obtain necessary approvals and clarify coding details. u2022 Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. u2022 Monitor invoice systems to track incoming vendor bills and ensure timely processing. u2022 Adhere to company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards to maintain compliance. u2022 Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the finance team. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable, including processing high volumes of invoices. u2022 Strong understanding of three-way matching and the ability to apply it accurately. u2022 Knowledge of general ledger coding and proficiency in assigning GL accounts manually. u2022 Familiarity with invoice processing systems, with experience in Oracle NetSuite being an advantage. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies effectively. u2022 Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and vendors. u2022 Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
