Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vegetation Project Manager to join the Vegetation Management team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing vegetation management projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. The ideal candidate is proactive, resilient, and able to navigate constraints while driving projects forward in a fast-paced utility environment. Key Responsibilities u2022u2003Plan, execute, and manage vegetation management projects from initiation through completion. u2022u2003Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. u2022u2003Coordinate with internal teams, Vegetation Program Leads (VPLs), contractors, and external stakeholders. u2022u2003Actively manage project constraints when work cannot proceed due to customer, city, agency, environmental, or operational limitations. u2022u2003Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes. u2022u2003Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. u2022u2003Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. u2022u2003Prepare, maintain, and present project status reports and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders. u2022u2003Utilize Power BI for reporting, tracking performance, and visualizing key metrics. u2022u2003Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications u2022u2003PMP or equivalent project management certification. u2022u2003Experience working with utility companies or within the energy sector. u2022u2003PG&E-specific experience (strongly preferred). u2022u2003Familiarity with PG&E vegetation or internal utility tools (preferred; not required). Role Expectations & Work Environment u2022u2003Onsite: Minimum three days per week in Auburn; expected to be in-office closer to four days per week initially to support onboarding, relationship-building, shadowing, and knowledge transfer. u2022u2003Collaboration: High-touch role working closely with VPLs, office stakeholders, and field partners. u2022u2003Mindset: Humble, curious, and willing to ask questionsu2014especially critical as team knowledge transitions occur. u2022u2003Ramp-Up: Expected to jump in quickly and contribute early, with a strong ability to learn niche systems and processes.
