IT Operations Support Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Coconut Creek, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of a government organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, ensuring seamless performance, and supporting both hardware and software needs. Responsibilities: u2022 Monitor system performance, identify issues, and resolve network and system failures effectively. u2022 Troubleshoot and address complex inquiries or complaints related to IT operations. u2022 Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software maintenance and consult with technical support teams to resolve application issues. u2022 Create and manage user accounts for software and network applications across the organization. u2022 Deploy and configure new hardware and software technologies to meet operational requirements. u2022 Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software, and technology resources, reallocating as necessary. u2022 Prepare and update documentation for systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with operational standards. u2022 Train end-users on technology systems and processes to improve efficiency and adoption. u2022 Provide on-call support during off-hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. u2022 Proven experience with VMware and information security practices. u2022 Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10. u2022 Familiarity with Dell Technologies, Citrix, and PBX systems, including ShoreTel VOIP. u2022 Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly desirable. u2022 Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues. u2022 Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines. u2022 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused mindset.
