Job Title: Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. The position involves working Monday through Friday from 5:45 am to 2:15 pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to interpret blueprints and product specifications. Responsibilities + Read and interpret blueprints and product specifications. + Perform flat pattern layouts. + Utilize hand tools and measuring devices to perform basic tasks. + Operate power tools, lathes, mills, and welding equipment for complex tasks. + Work both independently and within teams as directed. + Solve process issues, including redesigning equipment. + Repair process equipment such as pumps, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, blowers, and conveyors. + Support established Preventative Maintenance activities and identify new PM activities, as needed. + Assist in the implementation and origination of continuous process improvements. Essential Skills + Proficiency in welding, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications. + Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, lathes, mills, and welding/fabrication equipment. + 3 to 5 years of experience specializing in fabrication and/or welding. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. + Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. + Good math and analytical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with cutting torch and plasma cutting. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a workshop setting where you will use a range of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, lathes, mills, and welding equipment. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 5:45 am to 2:15 pm, providing a stable and predictable work routine. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithfield, NC.
