Sr. Software Engineer

Description We are looking for a skilled Sr. Software Engineer to join a dynamic team within the real estate and property industry. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in building and maintaining custom web applications that drive operational efficiency across the organization. This role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and offers a hybrid work environment with three days onsite per week. Responsibilities: u2022 Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack web applications using React and .NET technologies. u2022 Own the architecture, scalability, and maintainability of internal applications to ensure long-term performance. u2022 Build and integrate APIs, connecting front-end, back-end, and database layers seamlessly. u2022 Troubleshoot and enhance existing applications to improve functionality and user experience. u2022 Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to align applications with the organization's data platform. u2022 Write clean, secure, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices. u2022 Conduct code reviews and participate in deployment processes to maintain high-quality standards. u2022 Provide production support and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. u2022 Contribute to data-related tasks such as SQL queries, basic data modeling, and collaborating on analytics projects. Requirements u2022 Proven experience delivering end-to-end web applications in a detail-oriented environment. u2022 Expertise in backend development using C# and ASP.NET. u2022 Strong front-end development skills with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and SQL-based databases. u2022 Ability to independently own projects while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. u2022 Experience with application architecture, testing, and deployment processes. u2022 Knowledge of analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus but not required.
