Job Description The Quality Engineer will act as a liaison between the build floor, engineering teams, and suppliers to resolve quality and build issues in a fastu2011paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is handsu2011on, highly collaborative, and focused on immediate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action. Day Shift Responsibilities u2022 Review endu2011ofu2011shift reports to identify open quality issues u2022 Participate in or lead Easel Board meetings with engineers to gameu2011plan daily priorities u2022 Go to the production floor to talk with builders and review EZ board processes u2022 Diagnose quality and build issues u2014 supplier vs. product vs. engineering change u2022 Drive immediate containment and corrective actions u2022 Perform root cause analysis on quality concerns u2022 Take physical measurements of parts as needed u2022 Conduct quality investigations and provide findings to suppliers and engineers u2022 Reach out to suppliers regarding bad parts, containment, and corrective actions u2022 Coordinate with warehouse teams when parts need to be prioritized or expedited u2022 Track and prioritize lot issues to support build sequencing u2022 Collaborate closely with peer engineers across trim line, chassis, doors, and IP areas u2022 Use Teamcenter for data and part access Crossu2011Functional / Problem Solving Work u2022 Act as liaison between the build floor and engineering when parts do not fit or function correctly u2022 Validate whether: u2003u2022 The correct part was built u2003u2022 The correct tool was used u2003u2022 The part matches the BOM u2003u2022 The part is within specification u2022 Resolve quality issues related to: u2003u2022 Bad incoming parts from suppliers u2003u2022 Build process issues u2003u2022 Engineering changes 2nd Shift Responsibilities u2022 Support quality issue containment and problem solving during second shift production u2022 Review shift handoff items and ensure continuity of quality actions Compensation: $30/hr to $34/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
