Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description Join an established automotive supplier known for producing various latches and mini locking systems. Work alongside a dedicated team in one of our two facilities located in Wixom, where you will play a crucial role in the assembly process and ensure product quality. Responsibilities + Operate sit down forklifts to transport materials and products. + Assemble parts according to work instructions at designated stations. + Ensure the correct assembly and verify parts at the workstation. + Conduct visual inspections for part quality. + Engage with automated lines as needed. + Maintain cleanliness and order at the workstation and within the plant. + Repack and inspect parts diligently. + Assist in on-the-line training for team members. Essential Skills + Experience with sit down forklifts, preferably electric. + Ability to stand on feet for extended periods. + Consistent and reliable attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in assembling parts. + in production/manufacturing environments. + Familiarity with quality inspection processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a non-climate controlled environment, which can be hot during the summer months. However, enjoy breaks in a fully air-conditioned break room. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 6AM to 2PM, with an average of 45-50 hours per week. Be prepared for occasional Saturday work when necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.55 - $18.55/hr.
