Job Title: Traveling Superintendent Job Description We are seeking an experienced superintendent to support various construction projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, industrial, and storage facilities. This role involves overseeing the successful completion of construction projects, ensuring they meet design, budget, and schedule requirements while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities + Prepare and communicate project schedules to ensure timely project completion. + Coordinate daily activities for all subcontractors during various construction stages. + Manage construction budgets, track costs, and submit invoices promptly. + Prepare daily log reports detailing site conditions, manpower, and activities. + Ensure all safety procedures and practices comply with OSHA and company standards. + Conduct pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors. + Ensure the availability and proper working condition of machinery and tools. + Schedule and participate in inspections as required by local and state regulations. + Organize final inspections for completed work. + Monitor daily construction procedures to maintain quality standards. + Maintain consistent communication with project management staff about project status and potential issues. + Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies following company procedures. Essential Skills + Minimum of five years of construction supervisory experience in commercial construction. + Proficiency in civil/grading work, concrete foundations, tilt walls, and masonry. + Advanced knowledge of trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and drywall. + Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications. + Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and their enforcement. + Experience in scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors, and equipment. + Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; scheduling software experience is a plus. + Five or more years of ground-up commercial construction experience. + Experience managing projects independently. + Strong comprehension of concrete steel drawings/reinforcement. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of crane work and relevant certifications. + Experience with project values ranging from 3 million to 20 million. + Experience in building UHAUL or similar projects is advantageous. Work Environment The role involves working on commercial construction jobsites throughout the country, with upcoming projects ranging from 3 million to 15 million in value. The work environment requires adherence to safety standards and collaborative efforts to achieve project goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.
