Your Role at Dollar Tree: As a District Manager at Dollar Tree, youu2019ll engage in on-the-job training to learn how to oversee the operations of multiple stores in partnership with Store Managers assigned to your district. With your support, youu2019ll empower our store leaders to create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Other responsibilities of the District Manager position include, but are not limited to, the following: u00b7 Develop store leaders that deliver shopping experiences that exceed customer expectations u00b7 Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales u00b7 Maintain inventory mix and merchandise presentation to maximize sales in each store u00b7 Partner with store managers to recruit and train new associates u00b7 Foster the growth and development of associates into leadership roles u00b7 Manage payroll hours u00b7 Ensure Store Managers are maintaining cash control, including conducting regular store audits u00b7 Ensure Store Managers are managing inventory shrinkage appropriately and monitor inventory shrinkage throughout your district u00b7 Provide exceptional customer service and ensure stores are professional, safe, respectful, and friendly environments u00b7 Develop meaningful relationships with the associates, leaders, and communities you serve u00b7 Travel up to 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays to support and oversee store operations across your district Your Skills and Experience: u00b7 Leadership and supervisory experience are required u00b7 Experience with merchandising is required u00b7 Previous recruiting experience is required u00b7 Excellent communication skills required u00b7 Must possess a valid driveru2019s license u00b7 Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation u00b7 Multi-unit retail management experience, preferably dealing with hardlines/variety merchandise is preferred Here, your hard work pays off in more ways than one When you successfully meet your performance goals, youu2019ll earn a quarterly bonus Your Perks and Benefits: We offer a wide variety of rewards to support your health, wealth, and mental well-being.
